Jeff Kessinger is the Queen City Family Man, a husband, and father of two, trying to not only make ends meet, but also someday buy a house and all the American Dream-y trappings that come with it.

Kessinger worked for nearly eight years as a community sports editor for newspapers in Branson, Forsyth, Republic, Nixa and Ozark, winning awards for sports photography, sports news writing and sports feature writing. He was named Best Sports Columnist (Weeklies) in the Missouri Newspaper Association’s Better Newspaper Contest in both 2009 and 2010.

But that’s all past-life stuff now for Kessinger, who is a full-time student at Drury University, pursuing teacher certification in elementary education.

So now that you’re here, please stay a while and come back often. Hopefully the things you read here will provoke you to laugh and, maybe every once in a while, think.

Hi my name is Doug, would you be interested in particpating in the Urban District Alliance’s Downtown DAD program. You would be featured in monthly newsletters promoting downtown and potentially recieve discounts at venues for having the title. I am with the MO State PRSSA working on a proposal for UDA regarding “Its All Downtown for Families”, a program they are starting to recruit more families to spend time downtown.

    • I’d love to Dave. You can e-mail me at queencityfamilyman (at) gmail.com
